Hi, howdy, Shalom!
Originally from El Paso, TX, I began in the theater as early as possible. Guided by wonderful mentors in my life, I have always been active in theater making.
My passion is in character building which has led me to the incredible performative crafts of puppetry and voice acting. I've had the pleasure, in recent years, to not only perform on the stages of New York City but all over the country, and now, many different countries in the world.
As a collaborator, I have been instrumental in many developmental processes. Whether it's helping create puppets and characters for new work, and existing work, or being a core member of The Puppet Shakespeare Players. I have also been commissioned by several companies to make puppets. As far as puppet making goes - I am inspired by using found and recycled material - why not give life to something that has been discarded?
Now venturing into voice acting, I have produced six audiobooks since starting in January 2020. I'm working on two more books, two podcasts and a few more exciting projects to come!
Selected credits I'm particularly proud of: Then They Forgot About the Rest (INTAR NYC), The Last Rat of Theresienstadt (Poland, Bulgaria, Israel, NYC), The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show (NYC, London, Japan), Alebrijes (Portland, OR & Puerto Vallarta, MX), Little Red Fish (New York Children's Theater NYC), A Ribbon About a Bomb (Governor's Island NYC), Reusable the Musical (John Tartaglia NYC) and many more. Please see my resume
Education: Graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Studied with Hua Hua Zhang at The Eugene O'Neill Puppetry Conference as well as Tyler Bunch, Martin P. Robinson and James Godwin, Currently studying with Anna Garduno for voice acting.
