Hi, howdy, and Shalom!

Born in Dallas, and relocated to El Paso, Texas, I found my true roots in the theatre. Surrounded by inspiring mentors and active in the theatre from a young age, I soaked in the work, the discipline, and the craft and knew as early as I can remember this is what I was meant to do. My passion is in character building and has led me from my conservatory training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City to off-broadway to puppetry performance. My favorite remains the ability to perform at some of the worlds most formidable theatrical venues across the country and internationally, meeting communities, and the gift of voicing memorable memoirs, fantasy, and other genres to far off corners of the world. I am from the nation of collaboration. As a collaborator, I have been instrumental to many developmental processes creating puppets and characters for new and existing work, as well as my participation as a core member The Puppet Shakespeare Players; performing the Bard's classics, with puppets, in the West Village, at "the best bar(d) in town." I am also commissioned by several companies to make puppets or consultant for puppet performance. As far as puppet making goes - I am inspired in using found and recycled material and in finding performative life to that which is commonly discarded. I also have a new love and respect for voice acting. I have produced six audiobooks since January 2020 and currently working on two more books, two podcasts and exciting new projects to come! Some credits I'm particularly proud of are: Then They Forgot About the Rest (INTAR NYC), The Last Rat of Theresienstadt (Poland, Bulgaria, Israel, NYC), The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show (NYC, London, Japan), Alebrijes (Portland, OR & Puerto Vallarta, MX), Little Red Fish (New York Children's Theater NYC), A Ribbon About a Bomb (Governor's Island NYC), Reusable the Musical (John Tartaglia NYC) and many more on my actual resume available for download on my home page. Some stuff about what I know and why: I'm a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I studied with Hua Hua Zhang at The Eugene O'Neill National Puppetry Conference and worked with puppet legends like Tyler Bunch, Martin P. Robinson and James Godwin. I also study with Anna Garduno for voice acting and the list goes on as our career evolves... |
